SCLERODERMA
Scleroderma is an immune system disease that affects the skin (skin thickening), heart, lungs, digestive tract and kidneys.
There are 2 main types of scleroderma: limited cutaneous scleroderma, which has a better prognosis, and diffuse cutaneous scleroderma, which can be life-threatening.
The main symptoms of this disease are :
- Raynaud's syndrome
- Digital ulceration
- Calcinosis
- Pulmonary fibrosis
- Pulmonary arterial hypertension
- Polyarthralgias
- Kidney disease
- Cardiac Arrhythmia
